Trinity has been blessed to have a three octave handbell Choir since 1979. This past year they played at church services throughout the year and at local nursing homes at Christmas time. Veteran and new ringers continue to serve their Lord and congregation during worship services on the third and fourth Sunday of each month. A recent addition of hand chimes have given their favorite music selections a new and welcomed sound.
Practices are held on Wednesday evenings at 6-7 PM from September to May. The handbell choir is also available upon request for special events. For more information, contact Marilyn Westrum, Director.
Praise Him Chorus
Praise Him Chorus is an all women’s contemporary Christian singing group that has been singing praises to the Lord at Trinity for over 35 years. Trinity has truly been blessed with dedicated individuals that give their talents back to the Lord through song. Our music is Christ-centered and biblically based to the glory of God using a blend of contemporary arrangements and old favorite hymns. The ladies have sung many seasonal Cantatas over the years for the congregation. These events are publicly advertised and attended by the community as well as the members and family members of the the Trinity family.
PHC practices on Wednesday evenings from 6-7 pm September through May in the church balcony.
For more information, please contact Angela Pratt, director.
Sunday School Choir
Preschool through 8th graders meet at 9:15 -9:30 am each Sunday throughout the school year. They regularly sing on the 5th Sunday of the month. Dianna Jones accompanies the kids on piano. They also sing occasionally throughout the year and especially plan to sing for one Advent/Christmas service. Please contact Cathy Sprengeler for more information.
Day School Choir
The younger members of the choir are Kindergarten through 2nd graders. They meet twice weekly and sing once a month, alternating between the 8:00am and 10:30am Divine Service. Each spring the children travel to various churches of non-Trinity choir members to sing during their worship services. Rose Holbrook accompanies the kids on piano.
The upper grade choir consists of students in grades 3 through 8. They sing unison and 2-part (occasionally 3-part) choral arrangements. They primarily use piano or keyboard accompaniment but students also share their talents on various instruments including tone bells, hand chimes, and hand bells. They sing at chapel services, nursing homes, the PTL Christmas worship service, afternoon advent and Lenten services at Trinity, the spring musical, and one Sunday worship service a month.
Please contact Cathy Sprengeler for younger members and Jan Moeller for students in grades 3 through 8.
