Trinity Lutheran Church was founded in 1866 and continues to have a thriving multigenerational congregation. Our traditional and liturgical services are offered three times each week. As a member of the Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod we confess Jesus Christ as taught in Holy Scripture and the Lutheran Confessions.
As early as 1872 Christian education became a priority of the church, as it continues to be today. The school was conducted out of the pastor's home until the original schoolhouse was dedicated in 1875. The original church, (pictured) burnt down in 1915 and the current building was designed in 1916 by architect William C. Jones. On Sunday, August 6th of 1916 the cornerstone was laid, and by April 15, 1917, the church was dedicated.
Diving Service is the highlight of our ministry. We invite you to join us on Sunday mornings at 8:00 and 10:30 am as well as Thursday evenings at 5:30 pm. Our worship services preach Jesus Christ, our crucified and risen Savior, and the Word of God so that you may grow your faith in Christ as Lord and Savior.
BELIEF & PRACTICE
With the universal Christian Church, The Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod teachers and responds to the love of the Triune God:
the Father, creator of all that exists
the Son, Jesus Christ, who became human to suffer and die for the sins of all human beings and to rise to life again in the ultimate victory over death and Satan
the Holy Spirit, who creates faith through God's Word and Sacraments
The three persons of the Trinity are coequal and coeternal, one God.
